What areas do you cover?
I cover the whole of Essex for weddings as well as neighbouring areas in Kent, Herts & Suffolk for a travel fee.
How many hours do you cover when you say you cover the full day?
I cover exactly that, your full day. I do not put hourly restrictions on your coverage as for me its not the way I prefer to work, I find it less stressful for both myself and you if we don’t need to be watching a clock. Weddings over run their schedule frequently and by not setting a time limit we can just go with the flow of the day.
I arrive around 2 hours before the start of the ceremony, just in time to get your bridal prep shots, ceremony details and catch the groomsmen. Then I am with you all day up until your first dance, plus a little bit extra to get some great dancefloor pics!
What is included in my package?
I keep my pricing simple so I only cover your full day as standard. Any enhancements to your photography coverage are priced separately so you can choose what matters most to you.
My standard pricing is anything but basic – as many catch ups via email, phone or in person as we need before the day itself, full coverage, an online gallery to view & share with family/friends & all your images beautifully presented on a keepsake USB.
Can I see an example of an album before I decide if I want to purchase the complete package?
Of course! I have samples that I can bring to our consultation as well as examples of different covers and page styles so you can see the kind of album you’d get. All albums are designed by me and can be fully customised so theres a whole selection of different ways to make your album unique to you.
Will I receive any different edits of my images & can I request edits?
I take pride in my work and what I do so as part of my editing process I work on each image individually to present to you in its best possible format, this includes the crop of the image as well as the colour chosen (colour or B&W for example) but you can of course request individual images to be presented in both edits for your USB, these requests can be made at the online gallery stage. As part of my editing process I will carry out more detailed edits such as object removal, general tidying of backgrounds etc as I see necessary. More in depth detailed editing work that you request can be done but this may add additional fees & time depending on the nature of the edit.
Will you give me the copyright to my images?
Of course with the USB you can share the images and print your own photographs directly from there, as the photographer I always retain the copyright of any images I take which just basically means you cannot sell them on to third parties, but I happily give you the permission to personally print as you wish in the form of a print release which will cover all your personal needs.
My family & friends would like copies of our images, can you do this for them or do we need to wait for our USB?
After your wedding I upload all your images into an online viewing gallery (once edited) which I give you the link and the password for – you may of course share this link once you have viewed them and I can make the options to purchase available so your family & friends can purchase directly from the gallery & have the prints sent straight to them so you don’t need to worry about a thing. Prints for wedding guests are heavily discounted to take some of the pressure off you to print for friends and family!
Will you arrange group shots?
Of course, during our catch up nearer to the wedding I will go through your required group shots with you, I ask you to give me a ‘must have’ list and I will ensure to get those groups no matter what, I like to do this before the wedding so that on the day you don’t need to be worrying about missing a group out as you’ll know I have it all in hand.
What happens if it rains on my wedding day?
Unfortunately while there is nothing I can do to change the weather, I can definitely still get you some beautiful images despite the rain. Its quite rare that it rains heavily all day long so if it does rain during our allotted picture time we can just change things around slightly, you can go mingle with your guests while I get my natural shots and when it clears over we can pop outside to get your couple shots then. If you’re up for it then wellies and a brolly are always on hand – if it rains on your wedding day thats something you’ll remember forever so you might as well embrace it and just have some fun getting some alternative shots! Rain in the night time can also make for some fab creative photo opportunities using flash and an umbrella so you may be thankful for the rain after all!
What equipment do you use?
I use a Nikon D750 camera as my main camera, I have 2 back up camera bodies, a selection of zoom and prime Nikon lenses, flashes, numerous batteries SD cards and filters, backups of backups then more backups just in case 🙂 I always have white umbrellas in case it rains and I have a macbook and hard drive I bring with me to back up your images while you eat. Did I mention I backup… a lot??
Are you insured?
Of course! I hold public liability, professional indemnity and full kit insurance for peace of mind.
Can we meet you before we book?
Of course! I love to catch up over coffee (and cake!) to chat through your plans, show you some of my previous work, flick through some albums and chat weddings with you! I hold most client meetings in the evenings near to Thurrock but if you need a different day/time/location this can all be arranged. Just drop me an email!
How do we secure our booking so you don’t book someone else on our date?
All bookings are confirmed with a £300 deposit, once this is paid your date is secure and can not be booked by anybody else. If there are 2 people enquiring about the same date then out of fairness to both parties I can only confirm the day to whoever pays the deposit first but I will always let you know if there is another interest in your date when you contact me. Your balance is due for payment 4 weeks before your wedding date.
