2022 – that’s a wrap!
What a year!
After the chaos of 2020 & 2021, I really didn’t know how 2022 was going to play out. Whether COVID-19 was going to enter the game again. Whether we’d see continued cancellations. Would the wedding world return to normal, or still be all a bit strange?! What actually happened was a glorious return to what felt a lot of the time like normality! A healthy mix of couples who didn’t have to postpone, tied in with those who were FINALLY saying I do.
It turned out to be an absolutely amazing year. A HOT year though mind you, shooting weddings in almost 40 degree heat was something else, the summer was definitely brutal at times but we all made it through, all hail handheld fans & AC!! I shot 35 weddings in the end, with the help of some amazing second shooters along the way of course. I also hit the 250 wedding mark too at some point in the Summer, as well as hitting another professional goal – becoming a recommended supplier at 2 venues I love Maidens Barn & Compasses at Pattiswick.
Personally it was an amazing year for me too. We bought our first house (FINALLY!!) in the Summer so have spent the year renovating that every spare minute we could. Max started school (sob!). My sister got married and I finally got to be a maid of honour. I feel incredibly lucky to have had such a great year both professionally & personally and I hope that 2023 brings more of the same. Less moving boxes though eh, don’t fancy doing that again any time soon!
Class of 2022 – THANK YOU!
