Hi, I'm Sophie!

A relaxed Suffolk wedding photographer (covering Essex and the rest of the UK too) who specialises in capturing the real feel of your day. My couples are often camera shy, but I promise you don’t need to be naturals! With a calm, supportive approach, I’ll make it feel easy, fun, and never forced.

Forget disappearing for hours or endless group shots. I keep portraits quick, group photos organised and fuss-free, so you can actually enjoy your reception while still getting images you’ll love forever.

My approach is simple: no staged shoots, no cheesy setups. Just the moments, emotions, and atmosphere that unfold naturally. You planned a wedding, not a photo shoot, and that’s exactly what I want you to remember when you look back at your gallery.

Kind Words

“On our wedding day, Sophie was just perfect to work with. She kept our time taking couple photos to a minimum so we could just enjoy our day but still created some absolutely beautiful photos.

Sophie’s work captured every emotion of our day so perfectly and it means so much to be able to relive our day through her photos forever.

Sophie – we cannot thank you enough!”

Kind Words

Sophie has been completely amazing from our very first enquiry to the day we received our beautiful photos. She responded to emails quickly, was so friendly, informative and had such brilliant knowledge and advice to share with us. On our wedding day she was incredible. Sophie made us and our families feel relaxed and comfortable all day. We were blown away when we received our photos, they were so beautiful and Sophie had captured us and the venue perfectly. We are so pleased we booked Sophie!

Kind Words

It was like working alongside a friend. She captured all the moments we would have wanted to see but could not verbalise capturing exactly who we are as a couple. Nothing was staged or felt forced and the photos show this. Her ability to find the funny moments of our wedding was unmatched. Throughout the whole process she’s been communicative with great ideas of how to run a wedding that we used to the extent where our venue and guests said it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to.

Questions & Answers

01.

How long until we receive our photos?

You'll receive previews the very next day. Most full wedding galleries are delivered within 4–6 weeks of your wedding day. You'll receive a private online gallery to download, share and revisit whenever you like.

02.

Do you travel outside Suffolk and Essex?

Absolutely! I love to travel and have photographed weddings across the UK. If you're getting married further afield, just get in touch and I'll let you know if I'm available.

03.

We're not very photogenic & feel awkward in front of the camera - will that be a problem?

Honestly, this is the most common thing couples say to me, and it's never true. My whole approach is built around making you forget the camera is there. The less you try to pose, the better the photos.

04.

How many photos will we receive?

Every wedding is different, but most full-day couples receive between 400–600 fully edited images. No watermarks, no hidden extra costs.

Suffolk & Essex wedding photographer — and beyond

I'm based near Saffron Walden on the Essex/Suffolk border, which puts me perfectly placed for weddings across both counties and into Cambridgeshire. I regularly photograph weddings in Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Newmarket, Colchester, Chelmsford, Cambridge and the surrounding villages - as well as at some of the most beautiful venues in the region including Baddow Park House, Blake Hall, Hengrave Hall, Woodhall Manor, Seckford Hall, Gaynes Park and Milling Barn.

That said, I'm always up for an adventure. Whether you're planning a Scottish castle wedding, a destination celebration in Europe, or something a little closer to home - if the date's free, I'm in.
