What a wedding, its been a few years since I’ve been at the Fennes as a Wedding Photographer but what a delight it was to be back!

Let’s start with the venue – Fennes in Braintree. It offers the grandeur of a stunning stately home while maintaining an intimate atmosphere. With its high ceilings, spacious rooms, and opulent decor, it’s the perfect setting for a special day. The beauty of Fennes truly added a touch of magic to Josie and Cameron’s wedding.

What made this wedding even more special was the connection between the couple and one of Josie’s bridesmaids. She had recommended me as their wedding photographer, having seen my work when I photographed one of her best friend’s weddings a few years ago. I love nothing more than walking into a wedding prep room in the morning and seeing familiar faces. Despite a very wet forecast, the day went off without a hitch. The ceremony was moved indoors, and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Just take a look at the beautiful ceremony setup overlooking the gardens. The rain took a break after the ceremony, allowing us to capture all their group shots and couple photos. Josie and Cam embraced the rain with open hearts, and the results were simply breathtaking. Who needs to worry about a little rain when love is in the air?

The rest of the day was a whirlwind of delights. An amazing meal was followed by speeches that had everyone in stitches. The first dance kicked off the dance floor, and then came the surprise of the evening – Josie and her hens took everyone by storm with a brilliant Beyonce remix dance. It was a moment that no one would forget.

What a wedding indeed! Josie and Cameron’s celebration was a testament to love, joy, and the beauty of embracing life’s surprises. Hopefully, Fennes, I’ll be back in the future to capture more beautiful moments like these.
