Helen & Alex | Langtons
Hold onto your heartstrings, because this love story is all about resilience, adaptability, and the ultimate triumph of love, beautifully documented by your trusted Essex wedding photographer.
Their love story started five years ago when they booked me after witnessing my work at Alex’s brother’s wedding. But the path to their own special day was far from straightforward. Thanks to the unpredictable twists and turns brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, their wedding plans had to be postponed multiple times. However, this couple didn’t let a global crisis dampen their spirits. In the interim, they bought a house, undertook extensive renovations, and welcomed a beautiful baby into their lives and I was so thankful that they were determined to keep me throughout all the changes.
Their wedding journey was a rollercoaster ride of uncertainty, but together, we made it to their dream day. It’s a testament to their love and commitment that they weathered the storm and emerged even stronger.
They had various wedding plans along the way, but they finally settled on a heartfelt ceremony at Langtons, set in the enchanting outdoor orangery. The reception was a warm and personal affair held in their own garden, transformed into a magical wonderland with the addition of a marquee complete with a dance floor.
Love and support from family shone through every aspect of their celebration. The cake, a delicious centrepiece, was lovingly crafted by Alex’s cousin, adding a sweet touch to the day.
Now, let’s talk about speeches. This couple put their unique stamp on the day with speeches that broke with tradition. Helen’s expressive face during the speeches became an unforgettable part of the celebration. In line with their values, they gave the floor to Helen’s three best friends, who also served as her unofficial bridesmaids. As a fierce feminist, she wasn’t about to let speeches be a male-dominated affair.
As your dedicated Essex wedding photographer, I had the honour of capturing every moment of this incredible journey. From the postponements to the final celebration, it was a story of love, resilience, and ultimately, triumph.
