Hertfordshire Wedding | Offley Place Wedding
Very occasionally, a couple will book me and even before I’ve met them, I just KNOW that their whole day is going to be spectacular. I’m not sure if it’s just the vibe you get from people, or the details they share, but either way I am very rarely (aka never) wrong! Enter Alex and Marco…who I raved about to my long-suffering friends, for weeks before their actual day. It was a twist of fate that meant I became their photographer at short notice before their wedding day but I just knew this one was going to be an absolute blinder.
These absolute beauts (and I mean that quite literally…look at them) were married at St Mary’s Church, Ware, and had their reception at Offley Place country House Hotel, a beautiful Hertfordshire Wedding Venue. Set in 27 acres of parkland, this 17th-century manor house sits at the end of a sweeping drive and had me feeling like I’d arrived on the set of Downton! Just utterly gorgeous.
Alex looked so beautiful in a sweetheart, off shoulder lace number, which left Marco’s *hay fever* (ahem, lasted all day that hayfever didn’t it Marco!) even worse off than it started! It’s lovely when you see a groom quite literally have their breath taken away, and it was definitely the case with these two.
Their reception included surprise speeches from Alex’s 3 brothers (cue another episode of hay fever) and table upon table of smiling laughing faces. Better still, this pair trusted me when I grabbed them immediately after the speeches, and told them we were setting off in pursuit of the most magnificent golden hour. We managed to squeeze in 10 minutes of photographs before that sun disappeared and I really think the photos speak for themselves. Moral of story, when your photographer says there’s good light, drop everything and go!
Throw in an epic first dance which included streamers and confetti, and round off with some fizz and a night of dancing til their feet hurt, and you have yourself a truly magnificent day. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Cacciatore, I wasn’t wrong about you two! Wishing you both a life filled with as much fun and adventure as your wedding day was. It was an utter joy to be able to share in it.
