Rosie & James | Baddow Park House

Rosie and James were married in June at the gorgeous Baddow Park House, situated in Chelmsford, Essex. This is a relatively new venue and its new owners pride themselves on having created a lavish venue which provides “the perfect blend of history, stunning architecture, meticulous attention to detail, and impeccable service.” It is one of my favourite venues to shoot at (check out that staircase of dreams) and as a recommended supplier I’m privy to all the best spots to ensure some fantastic photos!

Rosie wore an absolutely stunning gown from Serena Bridal which incorporated a full skirt and exquisite bodice detailing. Their flowers from Daisy May Florist were quite frankly EPIC and one of my favourite parts of this wedding! Think a perfect early-summer mix of pinks, soft peach and blues, with some classic peonies thrown in. Peony season is so short here in the UK that I always savour any chance I get to photograph these beauts, I’m no florist, but in my humble opinion, they’re the perfect wedding flower.

The groomsmen were decked out in navy suits and the bridesmaids in beautiful powder blue dresses, which seemed to be a really popular choice with weddings this year. The gardens at Baddow Park are really something during the summer months, and so, this colour palette against the roses, and the garden flowers in full bloom, made for some really fabulous photos!

Throw in some drinks and music on the lawns, wonderful food, and a wedding cake sat on a mountain on glazed doughnuts (I mean, come on!) and this was a really fun, vibrant and elegant wedding to be a part of. So many smiles and a lot of laughter…the perfect way to start married life.

Rosie and James, thanks so much for trusting me to capture your day, and to those popping by to read the blog, I hope you take as much joy from this colour scheme as I did!
