Kate & Ricky | Woodhall Manor Suffolk Wedding

SUFFOLK WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

The sun made a rare appearance for this April wedding of Kate & Ricky. Its been a rather soggy month overall so the glorious sunshine & blue skies were a welcome sight as I drove along the long approach to Woodhall Manor. As a Suffolk wedding photographer, their venue, Woodhall Manor, is one I am lucky photograph every year now – it’s a the most beautiful building with its glorious red brick, walled garden and immaculate grounds with quirky modern touches like the dog portraits in the halls, bumper car in the bar and the incredible evening room.

Kate manifested her outdoor ceremony to perfection (even burying a sausage the night before which is the most random wedding bit of a lore that I just love, and seen it work enough times to believe there might be something to it!) The girls got ready in the amazing prep space Woodhall Manor has to offer before moving up to one of my absolute favourite bridal suites to get dressed, just look at the light in that beautiful room.

They had a perfect ceremony with their white & sage green theme blending in perfectly with the gardens before heading to the house for reception drinks with their loved ones. What they really wanted was a chilled relaxed day that really was “them” so after the group photos we did speeches outside which I think worked so so well.

While the guests sat for dinner we sneaked off to meet up with Bailey their lovely pup who had dressed for the occasion in his new bow and happily posed for photos with his newly married mum & dad. The guests enjoyed an incredible 3 course meal before one of the big suprises of the day was finally unveiled – singing waiters!! I can’t tell you just how much I LOVE singing waiters. Not only are they a brilliant addition to the celebrations but they really kick off the party like no other. The whole room was up & dancing and were led into the evening room which had been kept secret all day to hand over to the DJ.

Just as we’d hoped, we got a lovely sunset over the house where we took the opportunity for a little walk just the two of them (and us as the photo gang obviously!) ending with an epic champagne spray with their bridal party. We left Woodhall Manor in the evening really just so happy with the day they’d had and we’d been lucky to be a part of.

From their incredible plans. to them as a couple & their wonderful families – it was a really heartwarming day and a privilege to be a part of. We said our goodbyes and caught some of Kate’s fathers bubble tricks on the lawn on our way out (how cool!) We are so blessed with incredible wedding venues in Suffolk and I am forever grateful for the weddings I get to photograph at Woodhall Manor. Until next time!
